Tony Sanchez

Keynote Speaker, Expert Facilitator

Tony is 14-year veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as an officer in the Navy SEAL Teams. He is a noted speaker on team development, leadership, innovation, overcoming adversity, and applying elite military skills to corporate America. Tony is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he earned a bachelor of science in Systems Engineering and was MVP and Captain of the water polo team. Upon graduation, he was one of only 20 midshipmen selected for U.S. Navy SEAL training in Coronado, California.

Tony graduated from SEAL training with BUD/S Class 183 and received orders to SEAL Team THREE. He operated as a squad leader and assistant platoon commander leading multiple exercises and covert operations in the Middle East and Africa. He was then assigned to SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team ONE where he served as one of the first ever Reconnaissance & Surveillance Platoon Commanders, tasked with creating standard operating procedures for the SEAL teams and supporting operations in the Middle East and Cambodia. Tony was one of five men chosen to represent the United States in the Military Olympics, and as captain of the U.S. Naval Pentathlon team led his men to a Gold Medal in Rome, Italy.

Upon completing his Naval service, Tony attended Harvard Business School, where he earned a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Innovation, Finance and Marketing. He has served in a variety of capacities including front-line sales, director of marketing, VP of sales and marketing, corporate venture capital analyst, CEO and chairman of the board for organizations ranging from early stage privately held companies to non-profit organizations to large cap publicly traded corporations. Throughout his civilian career he has employed the leadership principles honed during his service as a U.S. Naval Officer.

Today, Tony is a keynote speaker bringing lessons learned from the battlefield to the boardroom. He is an active father to four children and resides with his wife in Philadelphia. They are active community members and are supportive of several charities benefiting veteran causes, including Families of the Wounded Fund, The U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association Athletic Scholarship Fund, The Travis Manion Foundation, and Run to Honor.
